The Grand Theatre General Policies & Procedures
Movie patrons are asked to assist management in knowing when disruptions occur. While we do our best to ensure a positive viewing experience, we are not always aware if problems arise in the theatre. We encourage our patrons to alert management of any major disruptions or distractions.
Ticket Sales
Tickets are available in person only at the theater box office starting one hour before showtime. Ticket sales and movie entry are cut off 15 minutes after the movie begins.
Cell Phones & Electronic Devices
The Grand Theatre respectfully requests that all patrons silence their cell phones and other electronic devices prior to the feature film. Even when silenced, the light emitted from a cell phone is incredibly distracting to other patrons. An offending patron may be asked to shut off their device or may be asked to leave without a refund.
Unaccompanied Minors
Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult or responsible party. Everyone, regardless of their age, is expected to act like an adult, be respectful, put their phone away, and not interrupt or talk during the movies. If someone is unable to manage this they may be asked to leave the theatre, regardless of age. If appropriately aged children are dropped off at the theatre, parents are responsible for knowing movie runtimes in order to pick up their children. If unaccompanied minors are left waiting up to 30 minutes after the end of the movie, managers will request assistance from local police to ensure children are kept safe until parents or guardians arrive. The Grand is not responsible for unaccompanied minors.
Crying or Noisy Children
We respectfully request that parents remove crying babies and noisy children from the auditorium and take them to the lobby. Small children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and are encouraged to remain in their seats throughout the movie.
Disruptive Patrons
Patrons who are disruptive in the theater may be either given a warning or be asked to leave without a refund.
No Smoking, No Tobacco, No Alcohol
The Grand Theatre is a no-smoking, no-tobacco, & no alcoholic beverages facility. This includes electronic cigarettes and vaping devices. Patrons may step outside for smoking areas, but we ask they stand 20-25 feet away from the main entrance.
Outside Food & Drink
The concession stand at the Grand Theatre provides many snack and beverage choices. Please do not bring any food or drink with you to the theatre.
Piracy
The Grand Theatre enforces the prohibition on film piracy under law. Film piracy is a federal felony. The videotaping or photographing of any portion of a film is not tolerated. An offending patron will be asked to leave without a refund. Proper authorities may be notified.
R-Rated Films
Movies are a great form of family entertainment - but not every movie is suitable for every member of the family. That is why the Grand Theatre fully supports and enforces the rating system outlined by the Motion Picture Association of America. Students under age 17 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian (age 21 and over) to purchase a ticket for a film that is R-Rated. Patrons under age 25 may be required to show ID. For more information on film ratings, visit Filmratings.com.
Refunds
Tickets purchased are only valid for the film and showtime specified.
We ask that all guest be mindful of their purchase. Before purchasing your tickets, we urge you to confirm the title and time of the movie you wish to see. At the time of your purchase, the Grand Theatre will remove the number of tickets you purchase from the theatre's inventory, reducing the number of seats available for the chosen showtime. While this allows us to provide our patrons with the clear benefit of guaranteed seats, it prevents us from reselling tickets in the event that you do not attend your chosen showtime.
In the rare situation when a show is canceled, you will be entitled to a refund for the full purchase price of your tickets including any service charges.
In all other circumstance, refunds will be given at the sole discretion of the managers or Board of Directors.
Refusal of Admittance
The Grand Theatre reserves the right to refuse admission to any party. Patrons who appear to be intoxicated or otherwise disruptive to the general audience may be denied a ticket.
Severe Weather
The Grand Theatre reserves the right to cancel a show due to severe weather or the threat of severe weather. Likewise, we reserve the right to shut down a film in-progress to warn the audience of severe weather situations. In the rare situation when a show is canceled or shut down due to weather, you will be entitled to a refund for the full purchase price of your tickets including any service charges.
Equipment Failure or Utility
The Grand Theatre reserves the right to cancel a show due to utility failures, such as water or electricity outages, as well as any equipment failure.
Show Interruptions
If a show were to be interrupted due to mechanical failure, power outage or severe weather alert, we will determine whether or not the film can resume, or must be canceled. In the rare situation when a show is canceled, you will be entitled to a refund for the full purchase price of your tickets including any service charges.
